Suicide Squad star Cara Delevingne told RTÉ Entertainment that Will Smith kept everyone entertained on set, with director David Ayer describing him as a father figure to the team.
"I needed the cast to really bond and come together and Will helped me with that because in a lot of ways he's sort of like the father figure both on and off camera," Ayer said. "This is somebody that all the actors can look up to; he's a good guy, he's a really nice guy and has a lot of heart."
Smith's co-star Cara Delevingne, who plays Enchantress in the film, revealed that she used to beat box with the Miami hitmaker on set, crediting him with keeping the cast and crew entertained when the cameras weren't rolling,
"Will is very good at keeping everyone entertained at all times, I mean, I think we all are, we kind of all act as each other's jesters," Delevingne told RTÉ Entertainment.
Smith put together a games room for his co-stars to use during their downtime and Killer Croc actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje likened it to Disneyland.
"Will Smith created this recreation park for us to chill out in after scenes and it was like a Disney world in there," he said.
While Smith was known for singing on set to boost morale, Jared Leto, in character as The Joker, toyed with his co-stars to keep their character dynamics alive between takes.
"There were a lot of games that we played, we had a lot of fun," Leto said. "You can't play the Joker without having some fun, and he likes to toy with people so there were a lot of games that went on throughout shooting."
