Jared Leto told RTÉ Entertainment that he thinks a standalone movie based on his Suicide Squad character The Joker would be "very interesting".
"A Joker movie would be interesting, that would be really interesting," Leto said. "We'll have to see about that, but I think it would be fascinating to look a little deeper into the psyche of the Joker."
Leto is famous for taking the method acting approach to his work, and he stayed in character for the entire duration of the project and he really enjoyed living with his character for those months.
"It was a lot of fun to be inside the skin of the Joker, he is a complete maniac and he's a character without rules, a character where you never know what they're going to do next. It was a lot of fun," he told RTÉ Entertainment.

Leto's co-star Karen Fukuhara, who plays Katana in the film, said she respected his work ethic and loves what he brought to the iconic role.
"He stayed in character all day, every day," Fukuhara said. "I have so much respect for him and what he brought to the Joker, it's completely different and unique and I think everyone's going to enjoy it."
Director David Ayer attributed Leto's ease with the role to his experience fronting his band 30 Seconds to Mars.
"When I watch the movie I see The Joker up there, which is crazy because I know the magic trick, I know how much work went into that, I know how much research and effort Jared put into that," Ayer said.
"You've to remember, he's a rock star; this is a guy who can play in a stadium to tens of thousands of people and have the crowd in the palm of his hand, and he brings that magic into the character of the Joker."
