Spud, Renton, Sick Boy and Begbie are back next year for T2: Trainspotting 2 and going by the new teaser trailer for the movie, it looks like old habits die hard.
Twenty-one years since we last saw the four Edinburgh renegades, director Danny Boyle has returned to make the follow-up and in the 41-second trailer reprises one of the original movie's most famous scenes.
There has been speculation that the new movie will be an adaptation of Porno, Irvine Welsh's follow-up novel to Trainspotting, which follows the characters foray into the world of pornography.
However, other reports suggest that Trainspotting 2 will be an original story and not an adaptation of the novel.
McGregor's return as Renton will be the first time he has worked with Boyle since 1997's A Life Less Ordinary. The two fell out when McGregor was passed over for the lead in The Beach in favour of Leonardo DiCaprio in 2000.
T2: Trainspotting 2 is released on January 27, 2017.
