One Direction have taken to Twitter to thank fans for their support, as the boyband celebrate their sixth anniversary.
#6yearsof1D is trending on Twitter on Saturday in memory of the historic day that Simon Cowell put together the original five-piece boyband on The X Factor in 2010.
Louis Tomlinson recorded a candid video message to show his gratitude for their diehard fans, saying: "I just wanted to film a little message to say thank you because you guys are incredible.
"Your continued support is remarkable really and every single one of you had a hand in changing our lives and I hope you're as proud as we are."

Liam Payne was the last boyband member to tweet his thanks, saying there's "still so many more" years of One Direction to come and he's "never been part of something so amazing".

One Direction fans were sent into a panic on Thursday when band member Payne confirmed that he had signed a solo deal with Capitol Records, which led many followers to think that the band's current "hiatus" would become a permanent split.
However, Payne took to Twitter to assuage their fears, saying: "One Direction will always be my home and family but I'm very excited to see what this chapter brings."
