There's good news for fans of Sharon Horgan's sitcom, Catastrophe, which has been renewed for a further two seasons by Channel 4.
The potty-mouthed comedy stars Sharon Horgan and her co-writer Rob Delaney as a couple of immigrants - she's Irish, he's from the USA - living in London.
Horgan and Delaney have won several awards since the show's 2015 debut, and the plot, originally about her unplanned pregnancy, has seen them get married, have two children and set about leading a family life.
The recent second season of Catastrophe was Channel 4’s second highest-rated comedy of the year, and their head of comedy Phil Clarke today heralded the return of "the brave, razor edged, excruciatingly honest and painfully funny portrayal of a modern, long term relationship".
Filming for season three is expected to start in November and it will be broadcast on Channel 4 in 2017.
In a joint statement, Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney said: "We are thrilled to be making a third series of Catastrophe. Rob and Sharon are a blast to spend time with.
"And we’re not talking about ourselves in the third person, we’re talking about the characters. We’re eager to breathe life back into Rob and Sharon. Okay, now we are talking about us.
"In the first series Rob and Sharon went through a lot (us) and even more in the second series (back to the characters). We’re looking forward to putting Rob and Sharon (both us and the characters) through further pain for your enjoyment (now we’re talking about you)."
Thank you for all the nice Catastrophe messages. Two more years of this ✊👈 pic.twitter.com/aG150jfheN

Meanwhile Horgan's new US comedy, Divorce, which stars none other than Sarah Jessica Parker is due to debut on HBO in September.
According to the network, the new show follows “a woman who suddenly begins to reassess her life and her marriage". There's no details yet as to when we will get to see it on this side of the Atlantic
