The RTÉ Player has been added to Sky's Catch Up TV service, meaning Sky customers can now watch a range of RTÉ's top shows including Fair City and Nationwide.

The RTÉ Player programming will be available on Catch Up TV for seven days after it has aired from today.

The development is part of a long term partnership between RTÉ and Sky aimed at increasing the availability of RTÉ services on the Sky platform.

"RTÉ Player is an increasingly important part of the way viewers enjoy RTÉ's content on-demand and this partnership further underlines our commitment to ensuring RTÉ Player is made more widely available for audiences to watch when and where they want to", said Aoife Byrne, RTÉ's Director of Content & Products.

The RTÉ Player was launched back in 2009 and allows viewers to catch up on range of content including sport, drama and current affairs for up to twenty-one days after it was broadcast. It was already made available to Virgin Media subscribers back in 2012.
