Azealia Banks feels she has been "deeply misunderstood" and is being "shoved into a corner and punished" when it comes to her music.
The 25-year-old controversial rapper was suspended from Twitter in May following her racist Twitter tirade against former One Direction star Zayn Malik. At the time, Banks claimed Malik had stolen her ideas in the video for his track Like I Would.
As well as being suspended from Twitter, Banks was also removed from a headline set at London's Born & Bred Festival.
She is also reportedly being investigated by the Home Office over her Malik tweets, which could lead to the star been banned from entering the UK.
Taking to Instagram, Banks revealed she is struggling to finish her second studio album Fantasea II: The Second Wave and feels "cheated" by the music industry.
"I feel really sad and uninspired. I’m having trouble mustering up enough smiles and enthusiasm to finish Fantasea 2.
"I feel deeply misunderstood. I feel cheated, I feel stolen from.
"I feel though as I’ve made and am making such huge contributions to the times, as far as music and the national conversation go, only to be shoved into a corner and punished while I watch my ideas and insight get paraphrased and repackaged by everyone," she added.
Banks recently played up to her controversial image by revealing she is voting for Trump because he's "evil like America is evil" and "in order for America to keep up with itself it needs him."
