The gothic-tinged drama was filmed in Dublin, and became much loved for its interesting mix of characters, drawn from 19th century fiction, and expertly reconstructed Victorian London setting.
Green and Hartnett starred as star-crossed lovers Vanessa Ives and Ethan Chandler, with other notable cast members including Timothy Dalton, Billie Piper, Rory Kinnear and Sarah Greene.
