Grey's Anatomy regulars Justin Chambers, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr. and Kevin McKidd have all signed new deals to star in the thirteenth season of the show.

Wilson (Miranda Bailey), Pickens Jr (Richard Webber) and Chambers (Alex Karev) have been with the show since day one, with McKidd (Owen Hunt) joining as a regular in season five.

The four stars' contracts expired at the end of the current season.

Kevin McKidd and Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, who played Callie Torres on the medical drama, chose not to renew her contract, with her character departing Seattle for New York in the season finale. Ramirez had been on Grey's for 10 years.

Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith Grey on the show, recently inked a new deal that will see her earn north of $300,000 per episode.

The unstoppable show had one of its strongest seasons ratings-wise this year and creator Shonda Rhimes puts its success down to its central character Meredith Grey.

"We are following this woman's journey and the journey of all these people with her. It's not about a lot of tricks; it's about watching people evolve," Rhimes told The Hollywood Reporter.
