Catastrophe, the series starring and co-written by Irish comic and writer Sharon Horgan, has won the Comedy award at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards in London.
The Channel 4 series, which Horgan co-wrote with American co-star Rob Delaney, saw off the challenge of Peter Kay's Car Share and the E4 show Chewing Gum to win the award.
Catastrophe follows the trials and tribulations of Sharon Morris (Horgan) and Rob Norris (Delaney), a couple thrown together after an unplanned pregnancy. Horgan had been among the nominees at last month's TV BAFTAs for her performance but lost out on the night to Chewing Gum's Michaela Coel.

Hangmen, the new play from London-Irish playwright Martin McDonagh, won the Theatre award, with the Suranne Jones-starring BBC series Doctor Foster winning the Drama award.
The Irish box office Brooklyn had been among the nominees for the Film award but lost out to British relationship drama 45 Years.
Now in their 20th year, the South Bank Sky Arts Awards began when The South Bank Show was on ITV and continued after the series' move to Sky Arts. The awards are considered the broadest arts awards in the UK.
