Former Glee star Mark Salling, who played 'Puck' on the hit TV show, has been formally charged with two counts of receiving and possessing child pornography.
He has agreed to turn himself in this Friday, June 3 when he is expected to appear in a federal court in Los Angeles.
If convicted, the actor faces a maximum 20-year prison sentence.
Last December, Salling was arrested after police searched his home on foot of search warrants and was later taken into custody. He was later released on $20,000 (€18,300) bail.
Investigators seized a laptop, a hard drive, and a USB flash drive from Salling's home and in statement they said that more than 1,000 images and videos of "child sexual exploitation" were found on the devices.

"The traditional stereotype about the kinds of people who commit child sexual exploitation crimes simply doesn't dovetail with reality," said investigator, Joseph Macias.
"As our investigators can attest, the defendants in child pornography cases come in all ages and from all walks of life."
Salling, a 33-year-old actor and musician, played high school football player Noah 'Puck' Puckerman on Glee for six years from 2009 and was nominated for a Teen Choice Awards in 2010 and 2011.
