It's been reported that troubled British actress Sheridan Smith was rushed to hospital after collapsing at an exclusive health spa.
The 34-year-old was taken by ambulance from Champneys Health Spa to Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford last Sunday. She was later released and was said to have made a full recovery.
This latest incident follows her withdrawal earlier this month from the London West End show Funny Girl for up to a month after suffering from "stress and exhaustion".
The theatre described that situation as a "very difficult" period for the actress, which has seen her engage in public spats with critics, press and fans on Twitter.
A source told The Sun: "Sheridan has been at Champneys to undergo total rest while she’s been recuperating during her time off from Funny Girl.
"She has been in a better place and things have been looking up, but on Sunday there was a medical emergency and ambulances were called. But she is doing much better and it has nothing to do with stress or her state of mind."
Smith had received critical acclaim for her performances as Fanny Brice, the role made famous by Barbara Streisand in the 1968 film version of Funny Girl.
A performance in April was cancelled mid-show after just 15 minutes, with audience members claiming the star was ‘slurring her words’ and reports later surfacing theatre bosses had to lock her in her dressing room to calm her down.
