After receiving the Global Gift Foundation's Excellence award from Eva Longoria for his charity work, Ronan Keating has described the Hollywood star as a "firecracker".
Keating was honoured in Paris for his work with cancer charity the Marie Keating Foundation, and in an interview on The Eoghan McDermott Show on 2fm he said that former Desperate Housewives actress Longoria was "lovely" and "a ball of energy".
"That's just one event that she gets involved in and there's so many - she does it all around the world," he said. "She's just non-stop! We've helped her out with the London one she does as well and we may be helping out later on in the year with another event, coinciding with the Global Gift Gala and the Marie Keating Foundation. It's nice to work alongside of them."
What a night. Thank you all. So humbled so honoured. https://t.co/F2TbN28RLy

Keating said that while he "never set up the charity to get patted on the back", it was lovely to receive the award. "I was really humbled and honoured," he said. "But that's not why we do it - but nice to get a pat on the back every now and again."
The Boyzone singer and solo star lost his mother Marie Keating to breast cancer in 1998, and set up the foundation to help raise awareness of cancer.
He said a proud moment for the foundation was when "people started to learn about cancer in their curriculum in secondary schools". "That's phenomenal to think that my mam's name is out there in textbooks and people are learning more about the disease through that," he said.
Keating also gave his two cents on Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden's new venture as Boyzlife, saying: "Best of luck to the boys... I wish them the best. I don't know much about it, but they're good mates of mine and I wish them the best with what they're doing.
"I'll probably go along to one of the shows if I can make it."
