It has been revealed that Mad Men stars Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser welcomed their first child last year, and managed to keep the news under wraps.
It was not even publicly known that Gilmore Girls actress Bledel was pregnant. Her representative has now confirmed that they welcomed a son last autumn.
The private couple, who met on the set of Mad Men, have been successful in keeping their personal life out of the public eye since marrying in a top-secret ceremony in California in June 2014.
Bledel's Gilmore Girls co-star Scott Paterson broke the news that the couple had welcomed a son, saying in an interview with Glamour magazine: "It was great to see her. She's really blossomed as a woman and now she's a proud new mother and married and happy.
"She's just the most likeable, intelligent person and adorable human being. She hasn't changed at all. She looks the same.
"We're comparing notes because my son is about a year and a half older than her young son. I'm showing her photos and videos and what to expect.
"We're just really enjoying each other's company."
The cast of Gilmore Girls are reuniting for four 90-minute episodes on Netflix which will air later this year.
