US network CBS has confirmed that it is making a Good Wife spin-off series, which will see Christine Baranski reprise her role as attorney Diane Lockhart.
Entertainment industry website Deadline.com reports that CBS chairman Leslie Moonves confirmed details during CBS' presentation of its 2016/17 line-up at New York's Carnegie Hall on Wednesday.
The new series will premiere on CBS All Access, the broadcaster's Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) service. CBS will also be airing its Star Trek reboot on All Access.
The Good Wife spin-off will see Baranski reunited with British actress Cush Jumbo, who was widely praised for her role as attorney Lucca Quinn in the final season. Deadline.com says other original cast members are expected to join the duo.
