Rick O'Shea to interview best-selling author

RTÉ Radio One Poetry Programme presenter and book club guru Rick O'Shea will conduct a public interview with best-selling writer Chris Cleave in Dublin later this May.

O'Shea will talk to Cleave at Dubray Books on Grafton Street, Dublin on Tuesday May 24.

Cleave’s debut novel, Incendiary, was an international bestseller and won many prizes. His second novel, the Costa-shortlisted Little Bee was a New York Times number 1 bestseller and sold well in Ireland. the UK, Australia and New Zealand. 

His third novel, Gold, also enjoyed similar success. Cleave's books have been published in thirty languages. and his novels have been adapted for screen and stage. His most recent book is Everyone Brave Is Forgotten.

"Just turn up on the night," O'Shea has said on his Facebook page, welcoming all book-lovers to the Dubray Books rendezvous, which begins at 6.30pm on the night with free admission. "Afterwards we'll all adjourn to the wonderful Against The Grain pub on Wexford Street (a brief walk away) for some free nibbles and the now traditional blind book swap."

O'Shea also reminded guests to `bring two books you own that you love wrapped in plain paper with three clues to their content written on them. If you can't make the interview, feel free to come along after instead."
