Axl Rose will make his live debut as temporary front man for AC/DC tonight in Lisbon.
Last month it was announced that Rose would be stepping in for lead singer Brian Johnson, who was advised by doctors to stop performing or risk permanently losing his hearing.
The legendary Australian rockers have been rehearsing for weeks with the former Guns N' Roses singer and in an interview with NME Rose and guitarist Angus Young talked about their new venture.
"They're awesome because they’re over!" is how Axl Rose described rehearsals, while Young said "We're all excited" when asked about the start of the tour.

Rose admitted that he has been learning the AC/DC back catalogue "little by little. There’s a lot of them that you didn’t realise that you somewhat instinctively know and then just every rehearsal - there’s been about 20 rehearsals, something like that.
"So that way, if I really screw up, they can really blame me for that, because I did have good rehearsals."
Still recovering from a broken foot, Axl Rose will be sitting it out for the time being and won't be leaping around a stage any time soon.
"It’s getting better little by little - it’s about halfway there," he says. "I'm only now starting to put weight on the front and I haven’t been walking up until the last few days."
