Add some Guinness to the Bollinger sweeties! The ever fabulous Joanna Lumley will have a race named in her honour at this year's Curragh festival.
The legendary actress, who turns the big 7-0 this month, will be a special guest on the second day of the popular event on May 22, and will make the presentation of trophies to the winning owner, trainer and jockey of the race that includes her name in the title.
“In all my wildest dreams I could never imagine that one day a race would be named after me… and, moreover, for that race to be at the legendary Curragh racecourse," she said.
"I am thrilled and proud in equal measure and cannot wait for this fabulous day to arrive. My gratitude can’t be measured, except by saying all the heavy horses in Ireland would have to be harnessed to pull the carriage bearing my thanks and delight," Lumley added.
Cheers to that! Lumley will have a race named in her honour at this year's Curragh festival
Lumley will be making a return to the big screen this summer with the release of Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie where she reprises her role as pill popping booze hound, Patsy.
Judging by the recent trailer both Patsy and Edina (Jennifer Saunders) are set to be bigger and more outlandish than ever.
The eagerly-awaited film boasts an A-list cast with Kate Moss, Joan Collins, Stella McCartney, Graham Norton and a bevy of models joining the fun.
After Patsy dishes that Kate Moss is looking for new PR representation, the two gatecrash a fabulous fashion event in order to track her down and get her on the books.
In her rush to get Kate's attention, Edina knocks the supermodel off a ledge and into the Thames, never to be seen again. Cue, hysteria and public opprobrium.
See you at the Curragh sweeties
Following the scandal, the PR mavens skip town and head to the French Riveria to make a glamorous new life for themselves, where it appears they get married after Patsy undergoes gender reassignment for the second time (she had a a sex change in the 1970s but it didn't last long as "it fell off").
You can wish Joanna a happy birthday at the Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival taking place at the Curragh on May 22.
Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie is due to hit cinemas on July 1.
