Danniella Westbrook has begun filming her return as Sam Mitchell on Eastenders.
The Celebrity Big Brother star is reprising her role as the youngest Mitchell sibling in the coming weeks, as the family prepare to say goodbye to their much-loved matriarch Peggy, played by Barbara Windsor.
Peggy is being killed off the BBC soap after being diagnosed with terminal cancer, and her emotional final scenes will see her daughter Sam reunite with brothers Grant (Ross Kemp) and Phil (Steve McFadden) to bid farewell to their mum.
Westbrook began filming her scenes on the soap this week, and shared some photos from Walford on Instagram, including the iconic Queen Vic pub, and also a selfie with her co-star Rita Simons.
She said she's "loving every second" of being back on set.
Westbrook has played Sam Mitchell on and off from 1990 to 2000. After battling with drug addictionthe role was recast in 2002, with Kim Medcalf taking over until her departure in 2005.
Sam was reintroduced in 2009 and show bosses decided to bring back Westbrook to the role. She was last seen in Walford in 2010 when the character went to live with Grant in Portugal after giving birth to Jack Branning's baby.
Windsor's iconic character Peggy Mitchell debuted in 1994, and made a surprise return to the show in January where it was tragically revealed that the cancer she had previously beaten had returned.
