Boyband McFly have announced plans to reform and go on tour once more as the original five-piece for the first time since 2013.

The band had been performing as part of the supergroup, McBusted, with the members of fellow boy band Busted.

McFly - which was formed by Harry Judd, Danny Jones, Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poytner in 2003 - will reunite for a four date UK tour in June beginning in Glasgow. The band will play three shows in each city, with each night featuring an album-specific setlist. No Irish dates have yet been announced.

The band will be hitting the road at the same time as former band mates, Busted, but Judd said there's no rivalry between them.

"I reckon we're back to square one. We knew Busted was going to happen and they're back now. It's exciting to be going up against them", he told the Sun newspaper.

There's also the possibility of a new McFly album, with Poynter saying: "We agreed we needed to go on tour together first and I think that will be the catalyst for what is to come."
