Cork actor Cillian Murphy will reprise his role as as Birmingham gangster Thomas Shelby in Peaky Blinders when the gritty drama returns to TV screens in two weeks time.
The Birmingham based drama follows the Shelby gangster clan as they take advantage of the opportunities that follow in the wake of the First World War, and has gone on to huge acclaim and picked up two BAFTAs.
In season three, Tommy is going to face more challenges and will have a new nemesis played by Paddy Considine who joins the cast as the ominously-sounding "representative of a force beyond anything Shelby has previously encountered".

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight also revealed that Tommy will enter "a glamorous and dangerous world of international intrigue", with consequences that could be cause damage to both his business and family.
Cillian has previously said the new season of the period drama is the "strongest it's ever been" and admitted he has no plans to bow out of the show as long as the writing remains on point.
"With television, it’s a sign of a good show when by the second or third or fourth series it’s still improving and still getting better. And the writing on season three is the strongest it’s ever been. It’s off the charts. So as long as it’s that brilliant, of course", he said.

Oscar nominee Tom Hardy joined Murphy and Helen McCory for the second season and he'll be back as London-based Jewish gang boss Alfie Solomons.
Season three returns to the small screen on May 5, and as is the custom with the show, Peaky Blinders' first new episode will be screened exclusively at Birmingham's Everyman Cinema the night before.
