Broadchurch fans rejoice. The hugely popular cop drama will be returning for a third and final season next year with Olivia Colman and David Tennant reprising their roles.
Set in a fictional seaside town, the show's critically acclaimed first season centred on the hunt for the murderer of a child which kept audiences hooked until the killer was revealed in the final episode. The second season then dealt with the subsequent trial.
David Tennant and Olivia Colman will resume their roles as Dectectives Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller when the show starts filming its final run this summer.
Jodie Whittaker and Andrew Buchan are returning to play Beth and Mark Latimer, the parents whose son was murdered in season one. Arthur Darvill is also back as the local Vicar Paul Coates, as are Carolyn Pickles as newspaper editor Maggie Radcliffe and Adam Wilson as Ellie's son Tom.
Joining the cast this time around are Coronation Street star Julie Hesmondhalgh who's best know for playing Hayley Cropper in the soap along with BAFTA winner Georgina Campbell among others.

The final eight-part season will see a brand new cast for Miller and Hardy, as they reunite to investigate a serious sexual assault.
It had been assumed that Broadchurch would end with its third season due to creator Chris Chibnall being appointed as the new Doctor Who producer.
"This is the final chapter of Broadchurch," Chibnall said. "We have one last story to tell, featuring both familiar faces and new characters. I hope it's a compelling and emotional farewell to a world and show that means so much to me."
