After the recent hoo-ha over Michaella McCollum's interview on RTÉ which saw dozens of complaints made to the broadcaster, the Republic of Telly have delivered a delicious send up of her infamous post-release interrogation.
The team have re-created the soft focus interview with Joanne McNally as the contrite convicted drug smuggler (complete with platium blonde wig) and Edwin Sammon as the interviewer asking the probing questions like "So you were partying?".
"Aye I was being brainwashed", says Michaella before facing another question about whether she was forced to act as a drugs mule.
Things though then quickly start to go awry as the true source of her carefully crafted answers is revealed.
