Former X Factor choreographer and creative director Brian Friedman says Dermot O'Leary will bring “amazing hosting” back to the X Factor after replacing Olly Murs and Caroline Flack on the popular show.
The 38-year-old American dancer said O'Leary would help the talent series return to its “fun years”, when he returns as host after a one-year hiatus.
Speaking on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of dance movie High Strung, the American choreographer said: “I feel like with Dermot back on board, and the room auditions being back in, the show can really get back to where it was in the fun years.
“I’m not sure if I’m going back yet but I hope so now that I know that a lot of the old team is there.”

O'Leary recently revealed he's "excited to be back" on The X Factor after a year away from the talent show.
The 42-year-old presenter was a stalwart on Simon Cowell's singing competition series for eight years, and departed in 2015, saying "it was time for me to move on".
However, he's decided that it's time to make a return, and said he's "really looking forward" to rejoining the team.
"I'm very flattered to be asked back to The X Factor, and am currently dusting off my dancing shoes," he said.
"There is nothing more exciting than hosting live TV on a Saturday night. The show is naturally very close to my heart, after having hosted it for eight years.
"I'm really looking forward to it, and excited to be back."
X Factor boss Cowell added: "Dermot's back, hooray! And so is his dancing! Welcome home, Dermot."
Caroline Flack and Olly Murs had been filling O'Leary's shoes in 2015, but the series suffered from falling audience numbers and a number of technical gaffes, including an embarrassing lapse my Murs who mistakenly told a contestant she was going home.
It seems producers have headed the viewers dislike of the new format and not only will they see the welcome return of Dermot as host, this year's show also sees the return of the room auditions.
For the first time in years, hopefuls will sing for the judges face to face before moving on to the next stage. Hopefully it will also spell an end to the very cruel 'six chair challenge' which drew a lot of criticism for the distress caused to contestants.
Meanwhile Irish hopefuls planning on taking part in this year's X Factor will get a chance to audition for the show in Dublin later this month.
Audition dates in the UK and Ireland have been announced, with Dublin auditions taking place at the 3Arena Dublin on April 24.
