Former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan has revealed that she would love to play Kate Middleton, and has been even working on the Duchess of Cambridge's accent.
The Manchester-born actress, who is best known for playing Tina McIntyre in Corrie from 2008 to 2014, said she would be delighted to play the royal on the big screen.
"I'd love to play Kate," she told The Sun on Sunday. "I'm getting there with my accents, I do like doing them."
Keegan added that she thinks the Duchess of Cambridge is "just a normal girl at heart" so she would be well suited to the part.
Keegan will soon be seen on the small screen in the BBC's military drama Our Girl, taken over the leading role from Eastenders star Lacey Turner.

She will play the character of army medic Georgie Lane who has been placed on duty in a refugee camp in Kenya.
Speaking of the role, she said: "First time I put on the uniform it felt quite surreal but then I immediately felt the sense of duty - as if I was in the military."
The second series of Our Girl is set to debut later in 2016.
