Imelda May, Gavin James, Danny O’Reilly and Sharon Shannon are just some of the stars set to perform at a special celebration and the culmination of Ireland 2016 and RTÉ's programme of events over Easter to mark the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Rising.
This special celebration is being broadcast live from Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on RTÉ One on Easter Monday and is set to tell the story of modern Ireland through music, dance and song.
Artists confirmed for the event include Imelda May, Jack L, Gavin James, The High Kings, Colm Wilkinson, Danny O’Reilly, Iarla Ó Lionáird, Sharon Shannon, Dónal Lunny, John Sheahan, Celine Byrne, and Seo Linn.

Dance troupes from across the island of Ireland, including CoisCéim and aerialists Fidget Feet, will take centre stage on the night along with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and choirs from around the country to perform songs that have become part of the Irish psyche.
There will also be musical performances from the historically significant locations of Kilmainham Gaol and The Garden of Remembrance.
As part of the show Danny O’Reilly from The Coronas has joined forces with his sister Róisín O and cousin Aoife Scott to record a very special version of “Grace” live in Kilmanham Gaol.

Centenary will be broadcast live on RTÉ One and to the diaspora around the world on RTÉ Player International on Easter Monday, 28 March 2016 from 9:35pm.
