Graham Norton has written a "darkly funny" novel - his first foray into the world of literary fiction.
The novel's name has yet to be revealed but the star has described it as a "mixture of mystery and romance" revealing that it will be set in a place that he loves.
The book's publisher has commended the talk show host on his impressive writing and skill at storytelling.
"I'm thrilled to be publishing Graham's first novel and to be launching what we believe will be a major new career for him as a novelist," Hannah Black of Hodder & Stoughton publishers told the Mail on Sunday.
"This is a darkly funny book; Graham is a skilled storyteller, the writing impressively broad and layered. He knows this world and he understands people, their secret passions and motivations, and that is in part what helps to make this such an accomplished and compelling debut."
Meanwhile, Graham Norton showed his support for Gay Switchboard Ireland by dropping into the Lush store in Cork today to pick up a charity pot in aid of the LGBT+ support service.
Lush stores in Dublin (Henry Street and Grafton Street) and Cork were supporting Gay Switchboard Ireland this weekend by donating 100% of the proceeds from their Charity Pot to the LGBT organisation.
Adam Shanley, Director of Gay Switchboard Ireland said: "We're absolutely thrilled with the generosity of Lush customers over the weekend. Even more so that Graham Norton wanted to support the work that we do by coming in and picking up a pot.
"As an organisation that is run entirely on the generosity of the community and its allies, a fundraising opportunity like this with the support of Graham Norton will make a huge difference."
