Normally soap stars dream of Hollywood glory (we're looking at you Home and Away's Chris Hemsworth) but rarely does ambition move in the opposition direction. Step forward Jack Reynor who has revealed that he would love a "small little role" on Fair City.
The Irish star is on the shortlist of actors in the running to play Han Solo in an upcoming Star Wars spin-off movie, but he has set his sights closer to home, saying that he would love a role on Fair City.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, he said would to shake things up in Carrigstown.
“I think that would be brilliant, man. I’d love it. Just a small little role.
“Breeze in, cause a bit of mayhem you know, pull a few pints behind the bar. A bit of drama and be gone again", he said.
The 24-year-old actor star has had an impressive run of film roles since coming to fame in Oscar-nominated director Lenny Abrahamson's 2012 film What Richard Did. He went on to land a recurring role in the box-office smashing Tranformers franchise and the upcoming Warner Bros star-studded live action adaptation of The Jungle Book.
After appearing in Gerrard Barrett's critically acclaimed feature film Glassland, he starred alongside Michael Fassbender in Macbeth, and can next be seen in John Carney's Sing Street.
The rising star, who is engaged to Irish model Madeline Mulqueen, also revealed that he's a fan of the Fair City.
“A couple of friends of mine have worked on Fair City and it’s a fantastic show with so much Irish talent from the Dublin stage, some legendary names there, it would be a great opportunity.
“I mean, it’s probably not going to happen anytime soon but who knows?”

Reynor also admitted that Irish productions will always appeal to him as he loves "being home".
He said: "Look, it's always pretty much down to the script and the character, that comes before anything else.
"But I've made five Irish films now, and they've been with unbelievable Irish filmmakers and I understand the industry here and what it's about.
"And I love being home, I live in Ireland so if I'm going to shoot anywhere, ideally, it will be in Ireland.
"The Irish industry is growing and growing at an astounding rate. It's world class, the writing and the talent coming out is incredible."
