Kit Harington has confirmed that he has filmed scenes for the upcoming sixth season of Game of Thrones – thought they may not be as action-packed as usual.

Spoiler alert!

The last we saw of Harington's heroic Jon Snow was in the season five finale, as he was betrayed by his fellow Night's Watchmen and left for dead, after being stabbed multiple times, on the cold hard ground of Castle Black.

Harington has confirmed multiple times since the season ended that Jon Snow was definitely dead and would not be returning for season six, but this was too much for fans to take and after a number of hints, there was a strong argument for his chances of survival.

One hint that seemed to prove he would return was Harington being spotted flying into Belfast just as filming of season six was to begin.

We now have confirmation from the man himself that he did in fact film scenes for the show, but sadly, he says they are solely shots of him "being dead."

"Look I'm not in the show any more. I'm definitely not in the new series," Harington told Time Out London.

When asked if he had filmed any news scenes, he replied, "I filmed some scenes of me being dead – [jokes] it's some of my best work."

He then added that he "doesn't have a clue" what happens throughout the series but, "I know how long I'm a corpse for, but I can't tell you that!"

Hmm we're still not convinced.

Harington recently told fans that they will have to get used to the fact that Jon Snow is no more.

"People didn't want me to die, but he's dead. So there you go, everyone has to get used to it," he told Digital Spy.

"I haven't done Thrones in a while. I had quite a lot of time off last year. I've been taking it easy, and relaxing," he said.

Game of Thrones returns in the US on April 24 with Sky Atlantic to simulcast the episode at 2am on April 25. The episode will then be repeated on Sky Atlantic later that day at 9pm.
