Bressie has confirmed that The Blizzards' Indiependence gig will not be a once-off and that the band will reform and soon start writing a new album.
"I think our goal, when we decided to start playing together again, it actually wasn't to gig, it was to write a new album," he told 2fm's Breakfast Republic.
"We really love to gig, that's what we love doing. But it's one thing writing an album, if that's all you're doing, you need a bit of a release.
"We started looking at gigs and Indiependence, we were one of the first people to ever play that, in a town centre in Mitchelstown, before it was as big as it is now.
"So it was: let's give it a shot. There might be a few more [gigs] coming, but our priority is to write an album."
And in response to to Una Foden's comments that she 'will get her own back' on him on The Voice, Bressie joked about the situation, saying: "Una lost the plot. That wasn't put on!"
