The Forest star Natalie Dormer said she is "really excited" to shoot her new film In Darkness with her fiancé, Irish director Anthony Byrne.
The Game of Thrones star co-wrote the psychological thriller with Byrne, and can't wait to get going on the project.
As well as co-writing the script, Dormer will also take the lead role in the film as a blind musician who gets pulled into London's dark underbelly when she hears a murder take place in the apartment above her.
Speaking to TEN, Dormer said of finally starting filming on the long-gestating project: "[I'm] really excited! It's testament to independent film-making that it's taken us a long time to get to this point and now it's going to happen it's so exciting."
The British actress, who is well known internationally due to her roles in Game of Thrones and The Hunger Games Franchise, explained that she and Byrne have been "very well supported by the Irish film board" and joked: "I'm just ready to go basically. I'm kind of almost bored of talking about it - I just want to get going!"

Dormer, who previously filmed The Tudors in Dublin, added In Darkness could be partially shot in Ireland, saying: "There will certainly be some aspect of production happening in Ireland but we're not quite sure how much at the moment."
She can next be seen in the psychological horror movie The Forest, out in cinemas on February 26.
