David Bowie’s last album, Blackstar, is to be made into an Instagram miniseries beginning this Thursday.
The InstaMiniSeries, running to 16 episodes, will explore “visual interpretations” of the album. Rookie Magazine founder Tavi Gevinson and Six Feet Under’s Patricia Clarkson are among the actors taking part in the project.
Carolynn Cecilia and Nikki Borge wrote and directed the series for the social networking site, utilising music from Bowie's 28th studio album with a free hand - episodes could be devised "with no limits or preconditions on his part."
The mini-series is described as "a journey of evocative images inspired by the moods suggested in the album’s music, lyrics and artwork."
David Bowie passed away in New York on January 10.
