The Irish Film & Television Academy has announced that Liam Neeson will be honoured with the Irish Film and Tevision Academy's (IFTA) award for Outstanding Contribution to Cinema.
The award will be presented at the 2016 annual IFTA Film & Drama Awards which will take place at the Mansion House, Dublin on Saturday April 9.
The President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins will officially present the Award at the Ceremony on behalf of the Academy, the Irish film industry and Liam Neeson's community of peers and friends.
The Oscar-nominated actor has a total of 84 films on his CV and has just completed work on Martin Scorsese’s new movie Silence.
