In the mood for a mini-binge watch? The RTÉ Player is premiering the acclaimed Icelandic crime-drama Trapped, a week ahead of the series' debut on RTÉ2.
Episodes one and two are now available on rte.ie/player. The show begins on RTÉ2 on Sunday February 28 at 9:00pm.
Created by Contraband and 2 Guns director Baltasar Kormákur, Trapped is set in a small port town and finds Chief of Police Andri (True Detective actor Ólafur Darri Ólafsson) hunting a killer - just as a ferry from Denmark carrying 300 passengers arrives in his port.
Trapped had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. It has been described as the most expensive show in Icelandic TV history, with an estimated cost of €6.5m.

"RTÉ2 is the home of world class drama - most recently premiering the acclaimed Deutschland 83 - so we're very pleased to have acquired this much-anticipated new Icelandic series," said Bill Malone, Channel Controller RTÉ2.
"Drama fans don't have to wait as we're delighted to be able to debut it on the RTÉ Player."
