Following the mixed reaction to Lady Gaga's tribute at the Grammys earlier this week, Blondie, The Roots and The Pixies are among the acts confirmed to take part in two concerts for the late David Bowie in March and April in New York.

The tribute shows in Bowie's adopted hometown take place on March 31 and April 1 and will also feature Mumford & Sons, Bette Midler, Michael Stipe of R.E.M. Cat Power, and Laurie Anderson. The Donny McCaslin Group, who worked on Bowie’s final album Blackstar, will perform at the second show.
