Ben Affleck asked for some tips about playing Batman from Christian Bale and George Clooney who also played the caped action hero.

"I talked to Clooney and he gave me some advice which is not repeatable," Affleck told Affleck told Good Morning America . "And I talked to Christian, who just told me to make sure I got a zipper in the suit, which was valuable, practice advice as it turned out."

Back in 1997, Clooney played the caped crusader in Batman & Robin. Bale was Batman in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy: Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

Affleck also spoke about his interpretation of Batman in the upcoming Batman v Superman, saying he's "a little over the hill", which helped him to relate to the role.

He told Comicbook.com: "He's a little over the hill–broken. He's kind of given up. And when Superman shows up he's like so powerful that he threatens everything that Batman kind of believes in, and it leads to this conflict. So it wasn't like I had to play Batman in his prime, so that was at least the excuse that I told myself!"

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, starring Affleck, hits cinemas on March 24, 2016. Directed by Zack Snyder, it also stars Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne.
