"As an Academy member, you're not supposed to endorse anyone for an Academy Award, but I have to say Leo DiCaprio is so amazing in The Revenant," Weinstein said in a speech at the amfAR New York Gala this week.
"His devotion and the way he rolls it all up into something beautiful is amazing. I've never worked with anyone who's so wonderful and so classy," he added.
DiCaprio has already won a number of awards for his performance including a Golden Globe
DiCaprio has been nominated alongside Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs), Eddie Redmayne (The Danish Girl), Bryan Cranston (Trumbo) and Matt Damon (The Martian). The winner will be revealed at the ceremony in Hollywood on February 28.
