To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Neil Jordan's classic movie Michael Collins, a reunion event is being held for the extras that appeared in the film.

Over 4,000 extras featured in the 1995 box office hit which was filmed in many of Dublin's historic landmarks, bringing life into key scenes in the large-scale production.

Writer and director Jordan said: "We had to do everything for real on Michael Collins, since it was made twenty years ago, before CGI became the norm."

Marking this significant anniversary, the Audi Dublin International Film Festival is calling on all extras to share their stories and images from the production as part of a living history project, and for their chance to take part in a reunion event on February 20 in Dublin.

The event will be hosted by the film's producer Redmond Morris and will be followed by the 20th anniversary premiere of the film as part of ADIFF, which will be attended by Neil Jordan and cinematographer Chris Menges.

If you would like to be in with a chance of attending the reunion event, share your story of your Michael Collins experience by emailing industry@diff.ie including any images you would like to share.
