Pierce Brosnan is reuniting with Goldeneye director Martin Campbell on an upcoming movie adaptation of Ernest Hemingway's novel Across the River and Into the Trees.

The duo will work together on the big screen version of the book, which tells the story of an American officer serving in Italy after World War II who finds out he has a terminal illness. A chance encounter with a young Italian countess awakens his spirit and gives him hope for the future.

Peter Flannery and Michael Radford have adapted Hemingway's novel for the big screen.

This will be the third time Brosnan and Campbell have worked together, after 1995's Bond outing Goldeneye they recently reunited on the Jackie Chan action thriller The Foreigner, which is currently shooting in London.

Across the River and Into the Treesis scheduled to begin shooting in Italy this October.
