EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa has admitted she’s “itching” to get back to work following the birth of her daughter Ella last year.

The 23-year-old is currently on a break from her role as Lauren Branning on the BBC soap, and has said that since she left on maternity leave she’s had to endure speculation about her relationship with fiancé Dan Osborne.

Jossa said she has had to delete all her social media apps after allegations about her partner, who was a regular in The Only Way Is Essex. Osborne was let go from the series last year after an audio clip of him threatening an ex-girlfriend was made public.

In an interview with The Sun On Sunday’s Fabulous magazine, Jossa said that some people have had it in for the couple since day one. She said that her family has become an “easy target” for trolls.

"There are people who have always had it in for us, a million per cent. Definitely, and I know who they are. And then a lot of people just jumped on the bandwagon and tried to create drama.”

Jolla is due to return to Albert Square later this year. She said EastEnders is best at misery, sadness and anger and she misses screaming crying when she goes into work each day.
