Straight Outta Compton star Corey Hawkins is set to take over from Keifer Sutherland as the lead character in the new series of 24.
Sutherland previously revealed that he would not be reprising his role as Jack Bauer for the new series of the hit show, after last playing the part in 2014's event series 24: Live Another Day.

The reboot, entitled 24: Legacy, will see Hawkins, who played Dr. Dre in Straight Outta Compton, star as Eric Carter, a military hero who turns to the Counter-Terrorism Unit (CTU) to save his life when troubles from his time in service come back to haunt him. Carter will work with the CTU to help prevent one of the largest-scale terrorist attacks on America soil.
The project will begin filming later this year.
