Teddy bears & LOLs. It's Gerry Adams' book of Tweets

The Christmas stocking filler rush may have passed but it hasn't stopped Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams releasing a compilation book of his very best Tweets.

Prepare to ROFL as the party's bookshop website says that the book will show "the lighter side of his personality" and will include some of his more, eh off beat, tweets on subjects as diverse as "rubber ducks and teddy bears".

The site admits that Adams' tweets have been been described as “bizarre, weird and as part of a clever strategy” but there's no doubt they have struck a chord, albeit a bemused one, with the public in particular his musings on Tom and Ted, his dog and teddy bear, not to mention his love for rubber ducks.

It continues "The inevitable 'selfies' are included showing that many years experience of politics have taught him not to take himself too seriously!" Oh and there's a General Election apparently coming soon.

The book goes on sale next week and previous visitors to the website have, it seems, also favoured purchases of items as diverse as an Easter Rising Centenary Calender and an IRA t-shirt.

For those who are unfamiliar with Gerry's twitter feed, here's a selection, including last week's viral sensation about Pierce Brosnan.

The book costs €8.99 and goes on release on January 29th.
