Uncompromising Dublin rockers Bitch Falcon, Gavin James, Lapsley and Gaz Coombes kick off the new series of Other Voices this Saturday night on RTÉ2
The music show, which is filmed on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way and recorded in St James Church in Dingle and in and around the Kerry town, is back for its 14th series. Among the line-up over the next five weeks are Richard Hawley, Low and Glen Hansard and hotly-tipped newcomers Jack Garratt and Lapsley.
The new series also features a performance from the ever elusive Keaton Henson and Minnesota based slow-core innovators Low. Also from the US, Shakey Graves will take to the Other Voices stage.
The IMRO Other Room is back to showcase five promising artists on the rise. This year Talos, HAWK, Bitch Falcon, Gavin Glass and Saint Sister take to the Other Room stage and Viewer’s Choice Saramai will feature in an Other Voices Other Room special later in the year.
This year, BBC RADIO 1's Annie Mac and her fellow presenter Huw Stephens will be joined by Fight Like Apes’ lead singer May Kay on presenting duties.
Other Voices airs this Saturday, 23 January, RTÉ2 at 11.15pm and runs for five weeks.
