Amy Schumer has put a teenage fan in his place after a sexist tweet drastically backfired.
Seventeen year old Jackson Murphy, a well known online film critic despite his age, posed for a selfie with the actress at last week's Critics Choice Awards and later posted a tweet with the text 'Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that'.
Needless to say the actress was not amused by his 'joke' and hit back at his attempt at humour, giving him a proper dressing down in the process.
Although famously candid about sexuality and her relationships in her stand-up shows, not to mention last year's no-holds barred Trainwreck for which she was honoured at the Critics Choice Awards, the tone of the tweet clearly annoyed her.
@LCJReviews @jondaly I get it. Cause I'm a whore? Glad I took a photo with you. Hi to your dad.

After the self-styled 'entertainment analyst' was subjected to a string of abuse on social media, he issued a whole hearted apology to Amy which she gracefully accepted.
@LCJReviews that's really okay honey. I just remember thinking you and your dad were sweet and it was a bummer to read that

Once peace and harmony had been restored he sent a follow-up tweet which said 'I truly apologize. Thought you'd like the joke. I should leave the comedy to you! Thanks for the photo. Glad you won last night!’.
Murphy is the youngest member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, and was asked to join the group in 2013, allowing him to vote for the annual Critics Choice Awards.
It's not the first time he's landed himself in hot water with a tweet. Last summer he tweeted a picture of himself with 12 Years a Slave actor Chiwetel Ejiofor with the caption "Happy birthday to my man Chiwetel Ejiofor. Don't be a slave to your diet — have some cake." It was later deleted.
