Speaking to Eoghan McDermott on Sunday's episode of the singing competition 29-year-old Sofia Lozano admitted that she feels much safer living in Dublin after a terrifying incident in her hometown of Mexico City.
Lozano explained: "I love living in Ireland, I feel secure while walking in the street and sometimes that is something that doesn't happen that much in my city.
"I believe that in Mexico City sometimes there are a lot of things happening, for example once I was coming out of a rehearsal and I took a taxi and the taxi kidnapped me.
"It started by the driver telling me really nasty, horrible things, then he took another route and told me that I was not going to get out alive.
Lozano managed to escape from the car and feels lucky to be alive after the ordeal.
She added: "After that I was really scared to even walk out of my house. I was really scared and frustrated for a long time.
"Now I try and stay calm and get on with my life."
Lozano sang Shakira’s Objection however it was not enough to impress the coaches. Kian Egan told her that, 'it was interesting, the song got away from you,’ while Una Foden compared her to a tribute act.
