Former Coronation Street actor Jonathan Wrather has joined the cast of Emmerdale as Pierce Harris.
Wrather, who some viewers may recognise as con-man Joe Carter who tried to fleece Mike Baldwin in Corrie between 2002 and 2003, will join 'The Dales' in mid-February under dramatic circumstances.
Pierce comes on the scene as his wife Tess (Nicola Stephenson) is having an affair with vet Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt). However, Paddy never expected to meet Tess's husband in the flesh.

"I am thrilled to be joining Emmerdale," he said.
"It's a great opportunity to be offered the chance to create a new character in one of TV's most popular shows and I'm very excited to be working with such an outstanding cast and team."
Wrather has also had roles in Casualty, Holby City, Waterloo Road and The Bill.
