What will Jon Snow's fate be?

The return date for season six of Game of Thrones has been revealed and luckily we don't have long to wait.

The hugely popular fantasy series premieres in the US on Sunday, April 24, before airing on Sky Atlantic on Monday, April 25.

The highly-anticipated sixth season will see fans finally discover the fate of the beloved Jon Snow (Kit Harington) who was left for dead by his own Night's Watch at the end of season five.

Since then, speculation has steadily mounted that he would pull through, including a new poster depicting him with a blood-splatted face and a promo in which the character featured heavily.

A host of new actors have joined the cast for the new season, including Richard E. Grant, Ian McShane, Freddie Stroma, Essie Davis and Pilou Asbæk.

Author George RR Martin recently confirmed that his forthcoming novel in the A Song of Ice and Fire series will not be published before the sixth season is aired.
