Irish actor Kevin Ryan has revealed that it took him years to settle in Los Angeles when he first moved there, but even though he has now found his stride he still misses Ireland.
"It's a blast, it took me years to settle but I've found my stride over there," Ryan told Dave Fanning on RTÉ Radio 1 of his life in LA. "I miss Ireland; I want to spend more time here."

Ryan, who is best known for his roles in Raw, Copper and Crossbones, can next be seen in Guilt, an ABC/Lionsgate drama loosely based on the Amanda Knox trial.
"Our show is loosely based around it, but we're set in London and the victim in our case is from Belfast," he explained.
"I play the victim's brother, and there are a lot of unanswered questions with the case as we all know, and I go over on this independent rogue mission on a motorbike with a sawn-off shotgun trying to find out, the hard way, who actually killed my sister."
"It's a one hour drama series, but potentially if it goes well we'll be going on for five, maybe seven years," he added.

On choosing the project he works on, Ryan added that the story and character are always his main priority.
"You really have to look at the material - who's involved. Story is key, character is key. When you have a combination of that it's going to attract great talent, a great director. It's an interesting thing, choosing material, getting material, and then what you're going for, it's highly competitive when you're going into these audition rooms."
