Storm Frank may have dampened people's spirits (literally) but Dublin's three day New Year's Festival is pressing on with a packed programme to entertain and ring in 2016 in style.
The festival got underway today and runs until Friday, with plenty of music, culture and live entertainment across the capital.
The Coronas are one of the headline acts for the Countdown Concert
The headline event is the Countdown Concert on New Year's Eve at the 3Arena. Previously held in the rather more exposed environs of College Green the concert features some top names including headline acts, The Coronas and Fatboy Slim, with special guests Kila, Ryan Sheridan and Little Hours.
There's also a NYF Street Festival taking place on St Stephen's Green from 9pm to midnight and will feature performances from Le Galaxie, All Tvvins and Wyvern Lingo.

Other events taking place include The NYF Music Trail which sees fifteen venues across the city hosting live music, while the Luminosity light displays take place at at Iveagh House on St Stephen's Green which will be transformed using cutting-edge 3D light projections.

For something a little bit different there's a Spoken Word Festival featuring poetry slams, hip hop and lively discussions at a range of venues across the city and on New Year's Eve there will be an attempt to break the world record for the World's Largest Bodhrán Session on St Stephen's Green.
The plan is to get over 1,000 people taking part - so bring ear plugs if you're in the area!
And if the hangover isn't too bad on Friday, the festival comes to a close with a resolution day focusing on fitness, health and mental wellbeing including a 5k fun run in Phoenix Park starting at 12 noon.
