Nurses (9.30pm RTÉ 2) concludes with a double bill, while ReConnected: Reality Bites (10.00pm RTÉ 2) meets once again for this one-off special the six young Irish women who became a TV sensation when they filmed their lives in intense detail. The Windmill Lane Sessions at 11.30pm on TG4 features Mick Flannery, Monster and Fight Like Apes and there follows another vintage epsode of Jools Holland at 12.30am, also on TG 4.

Nurses, 9.30pm, RTÉ2

Told from the perspective of eight trainee nurses, the observational documentary series concludes with a double bill. They are beginning their professional careers now, as their placements come to an end. Now they have a chance to put the theory into practice as front-line staff in a health service that is struggling with the vagaries of limited finance, resources and morale.  In the making of the series, Nurses had exceptional access negotiated with the HSE and the Waterford Institute of Technology School of Nursing.

ReConnected: Reality Bites, 10.00pm, RTÉ2

We bid adieu to the six young ladies from last year. Nicole turned 21 with her family and realised she has a lot to be grateful for; Alanna was celebrating her 21st too with a big gathering of friends and family that shows her she is far from alone in the world; Elayne had a headline gig, and we wondered if she could look forward to a bright professional and personal future. In this recap episode, Elayne, Kate, Nicole, Alanna, Anna and Venetia looked back on their experience of being in the TV series Connected. Had filming their daily lives impacted on their reality? And had the show given them any insight on their expectations? These questions can be answered a tad better in the light of further experience.
